Mitchell originally hails from Bolton, and studied design courses in Preston and Sheffield Hallam. He ‘found’ furniture design some years ago when friends asked him to solve their shelving problems. ‘I came up with quite an unusual idea and when I looked into it, I saw all these possibilities. It got to the point where I thought: ‘Ok, let’s set up a company and see where it goes.’’
