Avad is based in Sheffield, one of the greenest and most wooded cities in Europe. Seeking to pioneer a new movement of English furniture design, Avad was established in 1997. Clear aesthetics, relevant functionality and effective use of sustainable resources are the key principles within Avad. When these aspects of design are successfully held in tension with one another, exceptional furniture is produced. Our designers and skilled furniture makers seek to find solutions that are relevant, practical and well suited to current lifestyles. All of our products are made from managed native timbers with an ever increasing amount sourced from local, South Yorkshire woodlands. For more, read [Out of the Woods].

Avad uses an award winning jointing technique throughout its collection, unique to Avad. No adhesives, plastic or metal fastenings are required. This results in a highly desirable collection with clean lines, high functionality and tested longevity, delivered to our customers through our unique personal service.
